Just a few tips:
Fall Hatch chicks make for better plumage for Summer Shows! Proper nutrition is a must feeding 18% medicated feed for six months and then switching to 16% layer feed is a good idea. We feed Kalmbach however there are other good feeds. plan to separate the pullets from roosters will help with plumage. Also not housing roosters together will keep feathering intact. Keep your birds on wood shavings verses cage wire is preferred as birds can loose pigment color on feet from cage wire and birds can acquire sores on feet.
